These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Bijli Logistics Private Limited website and, where applicable, the transportation, booking, tracking and related logistics services provided by Bijli Logistics Private Limited (“Bijli Logistics”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
Use of our website or services constitutes acceptance of the applicable terms, subject to any separate written agreement, consignment note, Goods Receipt (“GR”), Lorry Receipt (“LR”), quotation or contractual arrangement entered into with Bijli Logistics.
1. Transportation Services
Bijli Logistics provides road transportation, Part Truck Load (PTL) and related logistics services on selected routes and locations.
Availability of a particular service, route, pickup, delivery or transportation arrangement may depend on operational feasibility and confirmation by Bijli Logistics.
2. Booking and Consignment Information
The consignor/customer is responsible for providing accurate information concerning the consignment, including:
- Nature and description of goods
- Number of packages
- Weight
- Consignor details
- Consignee details
- Invoice and statutory documentation
- Special handling requirements
- Applicable permits, e-way bills and other documents
3. Packaging
Goods must be adequately and appropriately packed considering their nature, weight, value and transportation requirements.
The consignor is responsible for ensuring that packaging is suitable for normal road transportation and handling.
Bijli Logistics may refuse to accept goods that appear inadequately packed, unsafe or unsuitable for transportation.
Acceptance of a consignment does not by itself constitute confirmation that its packaging is sufficient for every circumstance.
4. Restricted and Prohibited Goods
Customers must not tender goods prohibited or restricted under applicable Indian law unless their transportation is lawful and all required declarations, permissions and documentation have been provided.
Customers must clearly disclose hazardous, dangerous, inflammable, fragile, high-value, perishable or otherwise specially regulated goods before booking.
Bijli Logistics reserves the right to refuse transportation of goods that cannot lawfully or safely be transported.
5. Freight and Other Charges
Freight, pickup, delivery, handling and other applicable charges will be determined according to the agreed quotation, applicable rate, GR/LR or other arrangement.
Additional charges may apply where additional services are requested or circumstances differ materially from the information supplied when the quotation or booking was made.
Applicable taxes and statutory charges may be levied as required by law.
6. Delivery
Delivery will ordinarily be made to the consignee or an authorised recipient according to the booking arrangement and applicable operational procedures.
The consignee may be required to provide appropriate identification, documentation, payment or acknowledgement before delivery.
Where delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect information, refusal, unavailability of the recipient, statutory restrictions or other circumstances outside Bijli Logistics’ reasonable control, additional storage, handling, re-delivery or transportation charges may apply where applicable.
7. Demurrage / Storage Charges
Consignments should be collected or accepted for delivery within the applicable free storage period calculated from the date of arrival of the consignment at the destination station.
The following demurrage schedule shall apply:
Demurrage charges shall become applicable after 7 days from the date of arrival.
Demurrage charges shall become applicable after 15 days from the date of arrival.
₹10/- per quintal per day on the charged weight of the consignment.
8. Transit and Delivery Times
Any transit time, dispatch estimate, arrival estimate or delivery timeframe communicated by Bijli Logistics is an operational estimate unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Transit may be affected by circumstances including:
- Traffic conditions
- Road closures
- Weather
- Accidents
- Vehicle breakdowns
- Government restrictions
- Strikes or disruptions
- Natural disasters
- Regulatory checks
- Civil disturbances
- Force majeure events
- Other circumstances reasonably outside our control
9. Shipment Tracking
Tracking information available through our website, WhatsApp or other systems is provided for convenience.
Tracking statuses may not always update in real time and may be affected by data-entry timing, network availability or operational processes.
The physical and documentary status of the consignment and applicable company records will prevail where there is a material discrepancy.
10. Inspection and Verification
Where permitted by law or reasonably required for safety, compliance or operational purposes, Bijli Logistics may request documentation or verification relating to the contents, nature, weight or other particulars of a consignment.
Governmental and regulatory authorities may separately inspect consignments according to applicable law.
11. Loss, Damage and Claims
Customers should inspect consignments upon receipt wherever reasonably possible.
Any alleged shortage, loss or damage should be reported to Bijli Logistics as soon as reasonably practicable along with relevant supporting documentation.
Depending on the circumstances, documentation may include:
- GR/LR copy
- Commercial invoice
- Packing details
- Photographs of damaged goods or packaging
- Delivery acknowledgement
- Claim letter
- Insurance documents
- Other reasonably required supporting evidence
12. Insurance
Unless specifically agreed otherwise, customers should ensure that goods are appropriately insured according to their value, nature and risk requirements.
Where insurance or claim coordination is provided or facilitated by Bijli Logistics, the terms and decisions of the relevant insurer and applicable policy may apply.
13. Customer Responsibilities
The customer/consignor is responsible for:
- Providing correct shipment information
- Providing lawful goods for transportation
- Proper packaging
- Correct invoices and documentation
- Applicable e-way bills and statutory documentation
- Disclosing special handling requirements
- Declaring dangerous or regulated goods
- Providing accurate consignee and delivery details
14. Force Majeure
Bijli Logistics will not be responsible for failure or delay in performance to the extent caused by circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including natural disasters, floods, fires, severe weather, war, civil disturbances, governmental actions, strikes, road closures, epidemics, regulatory restrictions or comparable events.
15. Website Use
Users must not:
- Attempt unauthorised access to our systems
- Interfere with website operation
- Misuse shipment tracking
- Attempt to access another customer’s confidential shipment information without authority
- Introduce malicious software or harmful code
- Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law and any valid contractual dispute-resolution provision, disputes relating to these Terms & Conditions or services provided by Bijli Logistics shall be subject to the jurisdiction specified in the applicable GR/LR or contractual arrangement.
Where no such jurisdiction has been separately agreed, the appropriate courts having jurisdiction under applicable Indian law shall apply.
21. Changes to These Terms
Bijli Logistics may revise these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect operational, legal, regulatory or service changes.
The latest version published on the official Bijli Logistics website will apply from its stated effective or updated date, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
